Matthew hails from a rural village in Suffolk England and studied Graphic Design in both England and France.

Settling in London, he received early recognition for his work for Daks, Thomas Pink, John Lewis, Waitrose, Bentley and Gieves & Hawkes. Matthew then relocated to New York and subsequently became VP Creative Director of Martha Stewart and Design Director of Whole Living. His work has been recognized by Society of Publication Designers, American Society of Magazine Editors, and he has served on judging panels for both organizations.

Since launching his freelance career, clients include Jo Malone, Fresh, Williams Sonoma, Baker, Common Good, Hearst and Kohler.
